PBS’ Nightly Business Report announced today that it is opening a new Denver bureau to cover stories of national interest that involve Denver and the Rocky Mountain region.
NBR Worldwide, the owner of PBS’ Nightly Business Report, said the opening of the Denver bureau follows a recently established bureau in the Silicon Valley in November.
The opening of the Denver bureau is part of an agreement with Rocky Mountain PBS and the team will include Cynthia Hessin, a longtime Denver television journalist who has been a mainstay of Denver’s Channel 6 for years.
Hessin is host of “Colorado State of Mind” in which she and guests explore topics related to Colorado and the region.
“This partnership gives Rocky Mountain PBS the opportunity to highlight Colorado business stories, and contribute to this well-respected business broadcast, which has long been a favorite with our viewers,” said Doug Price, president and CEO of Rocky Mountain PBS.
“Our on-going commitment to accurate and in-depth information is a match with the Nightly Business Report’s values, allowing us to present regional stories as a lens on national issues,” said Price.
The new Denver bureau began operations Tuesday.
