A man who was shot to death in a Denver park Sunday night was identified today.
Denver resident, Richard Eugene McDaniel, 40, died from multiple gunshot wounds and his death has been ruled a homicide, according to a news release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
McDaniel was shot in Dr. Daniel Hale Williams Park at 3000 North Lafayette St. Police said the suspect stepped out of an SUV, walked into the park and started a conversation with McDaniel.
The suspect then pulled out a handgun and shot the victim multiple times before fleeing in the SUV.
