Colorado added another wide receiver to its 2011 roster with the signing of Austin Vincent of DeSoto (Texas) High School, according to .
Vincent, 6-foot-1 and 185 pounds, averaged 20.4 yards on 16 receptions with six touchdowns as a senior last fall before suffering a fractured fibula. He gave an oral commitment to Iowa last year, but the Hawkeyes backed off when it was uncertain if Vincent could become academically eligible. However, he passed the SAT in March and made an official visit to CU in May.
In August, CU also is expected to have Georgia transfer Logan Gray, a senior wideout who began his college career as a quarterback. Gray can immediately use his final year of eligibility at CU without sitting out a transfer year because he graduated from UGA.
Golfer Stewart joins Buffs.
University of Colorado women’s golf coach Anne Kelly announced that Alex Stewart will join the Buffaloes. Stewart will be a sophomore next season after playing her freshman season at Purdue.
