Sunday was moving day for the Denver Municipal Animal Shelter.
All the animals and equipment had to be carefully relocated, which tested the city’s emergency animal-evacuation plan.
The newly constructed Denver Municipal Animal Shelter is on West Bayaud Avenue at South Platte River Drive, about a mile north of the old shelter on South Jason Street at Alameda. It opens Wednesday.
