The man shot and killed after a fight at a party early Sunday has been identified as James Sanchez, 24, of Denver.
Sanchez was shot in the chest in front of a home at 374 S. Yates St. by someone who fired from a passing car, police said.
He was pronounced dead at 3:56 a.m., according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.
Police say the death may be related to a fight at a nearby party. After the fight, several people were walking away from the home when someone drove by and fired from a vehicle.
No arrests have been made, and police did not release a description of the vehicle.
