DENVER—FBI agents in Louisiana are checking out a possible sighting of a suspect in the abduction and sexual assault of an 8-year-old Colorado girl.
Surveillance video at a bar in New Iberia shows a man who resembles 27-year-old Bret Lee Luckett Thompson taking a woman’s purse.
Denver FBI spokesman Dave Joly (JOLL’-ee) said Tuesday that agents were looking into whether the man spotted was Thompson, who once lived in Louisiana. He says the Denver FBI office should have a copy of the video soon.
Thompson is suspected of grabbing a girl from a Denver alley last week and driving away in a white van. The girl was found 90 minutes later at a gas station three miles away.
