Molycorp Inc., a Greenwood Village-based producer of rare-earth oxides, announced that some of its stockholders intend to offer 10 million shares of Molycorp common stock in a registered public offering. Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC and J.P. Morgan Securities LLC will act as joint book-running managers for the proposed offering.
Sporian Microsystems of Lafayette has been awarded a contract from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration to develop a pressure sensor for harsh environments. The sensor will be able to survive conditions that include temperatures in excess of 1,800 degrees Fahrenheit, pressures in excess of 500 pounds per square inch, plus exposure to corrosive and oxidizing gases.
