Police are investigating an accident that sent a 70-year-old man in a wheelchair to the hospital after he was hit by a vehicle in Denver last night.
The man was hit in the 2800 block of E. 14th Avenue after he exited an alley and entered the street mid-block, said Detective John White, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.
A vehicle swerved to miss the man, causing the vehicle behind it to swerve and hit him. He was taken to Denver Health Medical Center with a head injury, White said.
The man, whose name and condition were not released, was not in a crosswalk and the area was dimly lit, White said.
It was not immediately known if any charges have been filed.
