Getting your player ready...
Warm weather has made most rivers dangerously high. Even tailwaters are seeing increased flows, so use extreme caution fishing them. Chatfield, Pueblo, John Martin and Boyd reservoirs have high traffic because of the good fishing for warm-water species, primarily bass and crappie. Neighborhood ponds shouldn’t be overlooked. Pan fish such as bluegill and green sunfish have been very active, great for kids. A worm under a bobber works great, but a fly and bubble rig also produces. Look for fair trout action on high mountain reservoirs such as Dillon or Delany Buttes.
