The man accused of kidnapping and sexually assaulting an 8-year-old Denver girl was seen in a Castle Rock convenience store the day after the incident.
Officials released new photos of Bret Lee Luckett Thompson on Wednesday. The 27-year-old and his 1999 white Pontiac Montana van were seen at the convenience store early Friday morning, according to the Federal Bureau of Investigation.
Denver police say the girl was kidnapped June 2 while she was playing with friends in the 400-block alley between South Raleigh and South Stuart streets.
An hour and a half later, the girl was found about 3 miles away at a gas station on North Federal Boulevard.
Officials say they do not think Thompson is the man in a recently released surveillance video showing a man stealing a purse in Louisiana.
