Beauty blossoms

Eccentric Artists’ Gardens Exhibit and Tour is an eclectic fine art show at the Boulder Public Library through July 10. The artwork — paintings, photography and sculptures — was inspired by the personal gardens of just over a dozen Boulder artists. From 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, these same gardens will be open to the public for a self-guided tour. The theme of the event is climate-wise gardening, and information on that topic is available at the exhibit. Tour maps are $10 in Boulder at Sturtz & Copeland Florists (2851 Valmont Road); Boulder Arts & Crafts Co-op (1421 Pearl St.); Piece, Love & Chocolate (805 Pearl St.); Indochine (in the Village near McGuckin Hardware); and the Boulder Public Library (1000 Canyon Blvd.). provided by Eccentric Artists’ Gardens

Peek inside Castle Pines

Ever wonder what all the fuss is about at Castle Pines? You can find out from 12:30 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Sunday when this south-suburban luxury development hosts “Passport to Summer.” In addition to a home tour featuring some of the community’s finest houses, each stop during the event will include experts in gardening, decorating, entertaining and the like. Attendees pick up their “official passport” from the Fuller Castle Pines Sotheby’s International Realty office (858 Happy Canyon Road, Suite 100, Castle Rock) on the day of the event, then drive to each of the eight addresses on the tour. The event will benefit the Douglas County Task Force with a requested food donation. (Bring along your nonperishable food donations.)
