LAS VEGAS — National Park Service rangers say a Colorado man died from an apparent heart attack while power- skiing in the Hemenway Harbor area of Lake Mead in southeast Nevada.

The name of the 51-year-old victim wasn’t immediately released.

Rangers responded to the scene about 10 a.m. Saturday. They said the victim was wearing a life jacket. Members of the man’s group pulled him out of the water, began CPR and took him to shore by boat.

Medics were able to restore vital signs before the man was airlifted, but they say he was later pronounced dead at a hospital.
