LAS VEGAS—National Park Service rangers say a Colorado man has died from an apparent heart attack while jet-skiing in the Hemenway Harbor area of Lake Mead.

The name of the 51-year-old victim wasn’t immediately released.

Rangers responded to the scene about 10 a.m. Saturday.

They say the victim was wearing a life jacket. Members of the man’s group pulled him out of the water, began CPR and transported him to shore by boat.

A park patrol boat met the group on the water and park medics continued CPR.

They were able to restore vital signs before the man was air-lifted to a hospital. But they say he was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The Clark County Coroner’s Office will determine the cause of death.
