Atlanta-based Roark Capital Group today announced its affiliates had acquired Il Fornaio (America) Corp., owner of Corner Bakery Cafe and Il Fornaio Restaurants and Bakeries.
In a separate announcement, the company said it had also acquired a majority stake in Arby’s.
Terms of the Fornaio deal were not disclosed.
Based in Dallas, the Corner Bakery has four locations in Colorado, including one in the Denver Pavilions along the 16th Street Mall. Il Fornaio, based in Corte Madera, Calif., has a single Colorado location in the Denver Tech Center in Greenwood Village.
The deal marks Roark’s tenth restaurant investment, it said in a news release. Others include Carvel Ice Cream, Cinnabon and Schlotzky’s.
