Do critics’ picks for awards make any more sense than the much ridiculed Emmy Awards? Everyone’s a critic, so here’s your chance to weigh in.

The Television Critics Association today released its nominations for the 2001 TCA Awards, honoring outstanding TV programming in the 2010-11 season. Winners will be announced Aug. 6 in Los Angeles.

Some of the categories are goofy in the way they mix guest stars and regulars, or sitcom and “fake news” forms. And the number of nominees per category is random. But the awards do usually yield a memorable night of speeches.

Last year, “Glee” won program of the year and “M*A*S*H” won the heritage award.

As a TCA member, I’ll name my 2011 picks later but, for now, how would you vote?
