Police in Westminster are looking for a sharp-dressing bank robber, who they believe returned to the same bank and robbed it a second time along with a partner.

Police have dubbed the robber the “Business Suit Bandit” because of the natty attire he wore in both robberies.

On May 24, a man dressed in a pin-stripped suit handed a robbery note to a teller at Premier Members Credit Union, 8440 Federal Blvd., and got away with an undisclosed amount of cash.

On Monday, the same robber, this time in a different business suit, returned to the credit union with another robber in tow.

Both men “simultaneously passed tellers notes demanding they hand over the money” and then fled on foot, police said.

Police describe the robber as a black man, about 28, 5-feet 10-inches tall and 170 pounds with shoulder-length dreadlocks.

The bandit’s partner is described as a black man, in his late teens or early 20s, about 5-feet 8-inches tall with a medium build. He was wearing a checkered shirt and jeans the day of the robbery.

Anyone with information on possible suspects or the robberies is asked to call Westminster police at 303 658-4360; or remain anonymous and earn up to $2,000 for information leading to a conviction by calling Crime Stoppers at 720 913-STOP (7867).
