Power was out for about some residents and businesses in Longmont this morning.
About 1,200 residents along of Main Street between 2nd and 11th Avenues were without power, according to Longmont Power and Communications spokeswoman Deb Cameron.
The outage began around 7:30 a.m. Thursday. LPC dispatched crews to begin restoration efforts, and power was restored around 8 a.m.
Cameron said a squirrel was the cause of the outage. The squirrel got into a 600-amp switch near Terry Street.
