Auditions for season 11 of “American Idol” will be held July 29 at Invesco Field at Mile High in Denver, Fox announced today.
Denver is a destination city, along with six others, as Fox’s talent scouts scour the country again this summer. St. Louis, Portland, San Diego, Pittsburgh, Charleston and Houston are also holding auditions.
Information, requirements and forms are available at .
In the past, when “Idol” came to town for auditions, lines formed around the stadium overnight as warblers and wannabes camped out, hoping for a ticket to stardom. Or at least a glimpse of themselves on camera.
Participants have a better chance of ending up on the local Fox affiliate, KDVR-Channel 31, which will have crews out in force to chronicle the event.
