An impromtu band calling themselves Air Supply II belt out Last Name by Carrie Underwood. The group, from Tennessee, Michigan, Oklahoma and Colorado had just met in line this morning but performed like they had known each other forever. (They are from let to right: Alisha Jannelli, 22, of Tulsa, Ok., (don't have name of second girl from the left), Mallory Jones, 20, of Kismet, Kansas (on Saxaphone) Taylor Fox, blonde in back, Heidi Rau, 24, on guitar of Soddy Daisy, TN, Richard Lawson, 17, of Denver in back, Jess Herndon, 19, of Kalamazoo,MI and Austin Paul, 22 of Washington, DC in back with glasses. ) After two days of registering, over 9,000 hopeful future American Idols stood in line to get ready to audition on the popular singing show. Denver is the last of seven stops around the nation. The other cities where auditions were held were: Dallas, Chicago, Boston, Los Angeles, Orlando, and Atlanta. The event is taking place at Invesco Field at Mile High. This is the first round of auditions. The second round will be in August and the final round in Los Angeles soon after. Helen H.
