The 22-year-old Longmont man accused of murdering Todd Walker in a University Hill shooting in March pleaded not guilty Friday in Boulder County District Court.
Kevin McGregor, who remains in custody at the Boulder County Jail, did not speak during the hearing. His attorney, public defender Julia Lee, entered the plea on his behalf.
A jury trial in the case is scheduled for the week of Jan. 23.
McGregor was arrested March 18 on suspicion of two counts of first-degree murder — felony murder and murder after deliberation — after police said he killed Walker during a botched robbery attempt.
