Average retail gas prices in Denver fell 4.7 cents per gallon in the past week averaging $3.58 a gallon – but the price remained 97.1 cents higher per gallon than the same day a year ago, according to the website .
However, prices in Denver remained substantially below the national average of $3.66 per gallon.
Gas prices in Denver were 13.6 cents per gallon less than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 19 cents per gallon during the last month and stands at 92.7 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
