To celebrate the first day of summer, a local ice cream vendor is giving away 5,280 free samples today on the 16th Street Mall in Denver.
Blue Bunny Ice Cream said it will have carts set up at 16th and Welton streets at 10 a.m. to hand out free samples while supplies last.
A company spokeswoman said Blue Bunny will be handing out single-serve freebies of its Bunny Tracks and Banana Split flavors.
She said it’s the first time Blue Bunny has done the promotion in Denver.
