Getting your player ready...
Matt Brown of the Denver Outlaws retired Wednesday and shifted his attention from Major League Lacrosse player to college coach. Brown recently was promoted to associate head coach of the University of Denver men’s team, so he’s leaving the Outlaws after playing all five of his MLL seasons with them.
“It has been an incredible experience playing for the Denver Outlaws,” said Brown, a former DU player who scored 138 goals in his MLL career.
He ranks second in Outlaws history in goals and third in points and 20th in MLL history in goals.
“Matt has been an important part of the Outlaws franchise from the very beginning,” general manager Brian Reese said. “I can’t say enough good things about Matt.”
