Part of the El Paso County jail is under quarantine after an inmate was diagnosed with chicken pox in a pod of 88 inmates, according to the sheriff’s department.
The quarantine is scheduled to last until July 13 as a precaution. The sick inmate has been moved away from others, the Sheriff’s Department said this afternoon.
The quarantine will not affect inmates eligible for release.
