GREELEY, Colo.—A former Greeley firefighter accused of giving out copies of firefighter certification exams has been charged with one count of official misconduct.
The Weld County district attorney’s office said Thursday that the misdemeanor charge was filed against 46-year-old Roger Moore of Evans. He is accused of giving copies of an old test to firefighters studying for the state certification test he administered.
Greeley fire officials have said there was no indication that Moore sold the tests for money or that anyone cheated on the exam.
Lt. Rick Cudworth of the Greeley Fire Department tells The Denver Post that Moore was fired earlier this month and that he is appealing his termination.
A court hearing hasn’t been scheduled.
