News: Avett Brothers’ Red Rocks show will simulcast on world’s largest HD screen

is one of the most desirable concert experiences in the world -– yes, we know this. Fans of are also apparently in the know, as the banjo-punk band’s July 9 show at Red Rocks sold out a month back.

But Avetts fans in their native North Carolina will still have a chance to see the boys’ Morrison show -– via the so-called world’s largest high-definition television at the Charlotte Motor Speedway, the band announced this morning.

The Avett Brothers show at Red Rocks will enjoy a live simulcast at the North Carolina raceway on an 80-by-200-foot HD television and concert-grade speakers. The 1.5-mile speedway’s race-day capacity is 140,000 people.

Speedway gates will open at 8 p.m. on July 9 with Grace Potter and the Nocturnals going on at 9:30 and the Avetts at 11 p.m. Tickets are $10 through July 1, $15 until July 8 and $20 on July 9.
