DENVER—Colorado Attorney General John Suthers says a district court ruling will help ensure that the state pension plan will remain solvent.
Suthers says the ruling Wednesday by Judge Robert S. Hyatt upholding changes to the plan is a significant step toward long-term solvency for Colorado’s Public Employees’ Retirement Association retirement fund
Hyatt upheld a bill passed by state lawmakers last year that placed a cap on cost-of-living increases for current and future retirees.
Suthers says more than 441,000 public employees are counting on the pension’s solvency.
