What, you think Coors Field still is a launching pad? Apparently the White Sox’s advance scout doesn’t think so. One night after the two teams combined for five runs in 13 innings, manager Ozzie Guillen played his infield in with one out in the third inning of a scoreless game. It worked as Jonathan Herrera hit a smash that Alexei Ramirez snagged, keeping Carlos Gonzalez at third base.

Baserunning follies.

The Rockies for the second night in a row had a runner picked off first. Charlie Blackmon was the first victim. This time it was Ty Wigginton, who was nailed by Mark Buehrle to end the fourth. Ubaldo Jimenez returned the favor the next inning by picking Buehrle off second.

On a roll.

DH? Who needs a DH? The White Sox went into Wednesday having won 13 of their previous 16 interleague road games, outscoring their opponents 75-41.
