Confidence among Colorado business leaders regarding the upcoming quarter is dwindling, especially in how they view the national outlook, according to the most recent quarterly Leeds Business Confidence Index from the University of Colorado at Boulder. The overall index showed a reading of 51.6, down from 56.8 in the second quarter. A reading of 50 indicates a neutral view of the future. Expectations for the national economy fell from 53.6 in the second quarter to 44.0 in the third, while the state index fell from 55.5 to 51.2.
