Recipe by Jeanne Winder, as reported by Helen Dollaghan in the Feb. 27, 1977, edition of The Denver Post. Serves 4-6.
Ingredients
1/4 cup cooking oil
2 tablespoons vinegar
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
1/4 cup finely chopped scallions
1/4 cup pimiento strips
2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 medium clove garlic, crushed
2 cups fresh bean sprouts
Directions
Combine oil, vinegar, soy sauce, salt, pepper, scallions, pimiento strips, sesame seeds and garlic in container of blender. Blend until seeds are ground. Toss mixture with bean sprouts. Refrigerate 1 hour.
