Police are investigating a fatal shooting in Denver on Monday night.

At 9:51 p.m., police were called to the 3200 block of Dahlia Street, said Detective John White, spokesman for the Denver Police Department.

After arriving, officers discovered a man with a gunshot wound. The man, whose name has not been released, was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.Police say that the man was arguing with an unknown suspect during a party.

After the party the man was speaking with two people in the parking lot. They then fired shots at the victim.

Details about the shooting and suspect information were not immediately available.
