A fire on the roof of a Morrison home early this morning was caused by fireworks, firefighters said.
The fire started about 12:15 a.m. at 19181 Colorado Highway 8, said Micki Trost, a West Metro Fire Protection District spokeswoman.
Firefighters where able to contain the fire to the roof of the single-family home and there were no injuries, Trost said.
The Jefferson County Sheriff’s Office issued a citation to a person suspected of setting off illegal fireworks that caused the fire.
