The man who was shot and killed in Denver Monday night was identified today.

Dominik Johnson, 28 of Denver, was fatally shot in the 3400 block of Dahlia Street, according to a news release from the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

At 9:51 p.m., police were called to the scene where they found Johnson outside. He was taken to Denver Health Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead.

Johnson died from a single gunshot wound to the chest and his death has been ruled a homicide.

Police say Johnson was arguing with an unknown suspect during a party.

After the party, Johnson was speaking with two people in a nearby parking lot when the two fired at him.

Details about the shooting and suspect information have not been released.
