Argentine teenager Victoria Tanco made the biggest comeback of the day, among professionals and amateurs. After 27 holes, the Buenos Aires native — who also qualified for the Open as a 14-year-old in 2008 — stood at 10-over and in serious danger of going home early. She was at 7-over after the first round, and she had four bogeys in the first nine holes of the second round. But the 17-year-old went 5-under on her last nine with birdies on Nos. 2, 3, 4, 5 and 9 for a 31 to make the cut by two shots at 5-over 147. She has hit just 12-of-29 fairways (she got in one hole of the third round before the delay).
