IRVINE, Calif. — Authorities say a man was arrested at John Wayne Airport in California after trying to take a deputy’s gun.
The Orange County Sheriff’s Department said the suspect approached the deputy from behind Friday. The man grabbed the gun but was overpowered by the deputy and a second Sheriff’s Department employee. No shots were fired.
