
While gasoline prices continued to skyrocket across most of the country, Denver bucked the trend with prices per gallon dropping 2.6 cents in the past week.
The average cost per gallon in Denver was $3.43 a gallon while the national average last week was $3.63 a gallon. The $3.63 reflected a national increase of 6.3 cents per gallon in one week, according to the gasoline website DenverGas
The price in Denver was 83.1 cents a gallon higher than the same day one year ago but 20 cents per gallon lower than a month ago.
The national average has decreased 9.1 cents per gallon during the last month and stands 91.7 cents per gallon higher than this day a year ago.
