Six 19- to 21-year-olds have been arrested for allegedly trashing a Brighton water park and pouring dish soap in the pool the morning it was supposed to make its debut.

Children could not use the pool the day the Brighton Oasis Water Park opened on June 17 because of the vandalism, officials said.

Brighton police arrested 20-year-old Augustus Meikle of Hudson; 19-year-old Edgar Castro-Estrada of Hudson; 19-year-old Scot Persichette of Keenesburg; 21-year-old James Hirsch-Sparkman of Keenesburg; 19-year-old Holly Prosser of Hudson; and 19-year-old Joshua Sirios of Keenesburg.

Prosser and Hirsch-Sparkman are charged with trespassing. Sirios is charged with second-degree criminal trespassing. Meikle, Castro-Estrada and Persichette are charged with criminal mischief.
