A Christian dating site picked Denver among its top five cities for meeting like-minded faithful.
Christian Partner for Life says there is no better place to meet Christian singles who like an active lifestyle than Denver.
Its top picks, in order, are Atlanta, Dallas, Jacksonville, Fla., Denver and Houston.
Christian Partner for Life Editor Jess Maltby said there was some art and science to the selections.
Staff looked at the percentage of adults in the 18-35 age range, online dating demographics, polls on church attendance and reviews from secular magazines, such as “GQ,” “Maxim” and “Cosmopolitan.”
“Denver was an easy city to put in our top five,” Maltby said. “It is a young and thriving city with a well-educated population. Our readers in Denver gave mostly glowing reviews to the dating scene there, both men and women.”
She said strong Christian communities in suburbs such as Douglas County also contributed to Denver’s appeal.
The cities that beat out Denver on this list typically boast larger populations of identifiable Christian singles and a greater diversity of megachurches to attend with potential dates.
In the Denver area, Christian Partner for Life said, singles should try Heritage Christian Center and Cherry Hills Community Church in Highlands Ranch.
For night life, the site recommended Denver’s Falling Rock Tap Room, One Up and Blake Street Vault.
