The Home Builders Association of Metro Denver today announced that the 2011 Denver Parade of Homes will be the biggest ever with 63 homes.
And like last year, the Parade, to be held in multiple locations throughout the area instead of in one community will be free. Homes , in 19 cities, will be open from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Thursdays through Sundays, from Aug. 11 through Labor Day on Sept. 5. The 63 homes in the Parade have a total value of $34.5 million. Homes range from luxury custom homes, to affordable living, to energy-efficient construction, furnished models, townhomes, and land for sale. More than 70,000 visitors are expected during the Parade’s four-week run. Wide-range of prices All the homes are for sale and range in price from $146,100 to $1.6 million. In addition, a new community in development in Evergreen is offering half-acre lots for $300,000. Home styles range from luxury customs to starter homes, townhomes and every style imaginable in-between from ranch and two-story, to prairie and modern with city living, suburban, gated communities, master planned communities, adult resort, golf course, mountain living, and homes with great views. Dream Community A new feature this year includes seven Dream Homes priced at more than $1 million each in a “Dream Community” built by Celebrity Custom Homes in Lone Tree. These Dream Homes are custom luxury homes which are furnished, decorated and landscaped, all in one location in Lone Tree’s Heritage Hills community. Two more Dream Homes, also built by Celebrity, are open for touring in Parker’s Pradera community. In addition, four communities are offering new homes to tour and they include Prospector’s Ridge (Central City); Ridge Gate (Lone Tree); Solterra (Lakewood); and Stapleton (Denver). The parade includes 21 custom and national home builders with homes located in 19 cities throughout the Front Range-from Erie, Loveland and Longmont in the north; to Castle Rock and Parker in the south; to Morrison and Evergreen in the west; Aurora to the east; and Elizabeth in the southeast.
“We received positive feedback from visitors last year who told us they enjoyed seeing a wider diversity of new homes and in more communities,” said Vicki Pelletier, vice president of operations for HBA. “The multi-site format is popular with our builders, too, who can showcase the latest in construction and technology. Furthermore, thanks to the generosity of our sponsors, we are able to offer the Parade as a free event again this year.”
