It’ll cost Cordillera Club members at least $5.2 million and a little alimony to divorce David Wilhelm.
A deal is on the table that would pay Wilhelm $15,000 per member to turn the club over to them. If 350 of them opt in, Wilhelm opts out, members say.
The Cordillera Club had more than 600 members when the year started.
Besides the minimum $5.2 million buyout, Wilhelm also would get to sell fractional memberships, said Cheryl Foley, one of the club members and Cordillera property owners suing Wilhelm.
It’s the latest twist in Cordillera’s continuing legal battles between Wilhelm and some members of the club he acquired two years ago.
