SILVERTHORNE, Colo.—The Summit County coroner has ordered an autopsy after a kayaker was found dead in the Blue River.

The victim was identified as 50-year-old William Keen of Dillon.

Coroner Joanne Richardson says rafters saw the man floating down the river on Thursday and pulled him out. The coroner says attempts to revive him were unsuccessful.

Richardson said Friday she believes the man drowned but she cannot rule out a medical problem. She said the autopsy won’t be completed until Monday.
