Portishead is a touchstone for anyone who came of age in the 1990s. The British trip-hop band’s dark, sophisticated songs work on an almost subliminal level, their scathing lyrical critiques as devastating as their deconstructed sexuality and quasi-orchestral overtones — the perfect soundtrack to pretty much any questionable experience. Keller Williams seems to be daring Coloradans to grow tired of him. The one-man jam band, who played in Telluride this week and will visit Buena Vista on July 30, announced two more shows at Mishawaka Amphitheatre in Bellvue Aug. 26-27. MSTRKRFT, the Toronto electronic-music duo, will return to the Ogden Theatre Sept. 10 as part of its elongated tour behind 2009’s “Fist of God” ($25). Also announced for the Ogden this week: Brazilian DJ Amon Tobin’s visual-centric “Isam” tour (Oct. 19, $26.75), San Francisco singer-songwriter Matt Nathanson’s “Modern Love” tour (Oct. 20, $25), ’80s pop icon Cyndi Lauper ($30-$35) and another Toronto electro-dance duo, Zeds Dead (Nov. 18-19, $26). Vetiver’s latest album of skewed indie- pop, “The Errant Charm,” is on the shortlist for many critics’ early Best of 2011 lists. The band plays the Bluebird Theater on Sept. 22 with Sub Pop labelmates Fruit Bats ($13.50-$15).
