A driver who has become popular to dislike, Busch jumped two spots to No. 1 in the Sprint Cup standings by winning last week’s inaugural race at Kentucky Speedway.
His third win and 11th top-10 finish in 18 races put him four points ahead of No. 2 Carl Edwards and 10 in front of previous leader Kevin Harvick.
Busch and Harvick are tied with a series-high three victories.
