Ryan Spilborghs made the most of his Thursday night. Filling in for injured Carlos Gonzalez in center field, Spilborghs led off the Rockies’ first with a solo home run high off the left-field foul pole. It was his third homer this season. He finished 4-for-6 with four RBIs and tied a career high with four hits.

To say new Rockies second baseman Mark Ellis is thriving at Coors Field would be an understatement. He went 2-for-5 with two doubles and three RBIs, leaving his LoDo average at .500 (10-for-20). He has 10 RBIs in four games at Coors.
