DENVER—Frontier Airlines says it is experiencing serious delays at Denver International Airport because of hail damage to its planes.
The airline says golf-ball-sized hail hit Denver International Airport, its hometown airport, on Thursday. The airline says the full impact of that damage became apparent Friday and the airline has found several damaged planes requiring repair before they can be returned to service.
The airline says on its web site that the large number of aircraft now out of service is causing the airline to make significant flight cancellations.
The airline is telling travelers to avoid Denver if at all possible.
