Colorado’s second season under coach Tad Boyle will start on the road — in Puerto Rico. The Buffaloes men’s basketball team will be on of eight teams competing in the Puerto Rico Tip-Off at San Juan starting Nov. 17.

Boyle announced the schedule Wednesday. CU will face Georgia in its first home game, on Nov. 28. Before that, the Buffs travel to Air Force for a road game.

CU goes to Fort Collins to play rival Colorado State on Nov. 30.

A seven-game home stand starts Dec. 7 against visiting Fresno State. And CU’s first Pac-12 Conference slate starts Dec. 31 in against Utah.

The Buffs finish their regular season March 3 at Oregon State. The Pac-12 tournament is scheduled to start March 7.

CU will add one more home nonleague game to the schedule.

The pairings of the Puerto Rico Tip-off will be announced next week. An NIT semifinals rematch with Alabama is one prospect. NIT champ Wichita State is also in the field.
