The prospect of having two or more fully loaded jetliners simultaneously on the tarmac at Fort Collins-Loveland Municipal Airport is driving an expansion that will nearly triple the terminal’s capacity, the Loveland Reporter-Herald reported Wed nesday.
Assuming Loveland and Fort Collins city councilors agree on the $160,000 expense of airport funds for the project, about 3,500 square feet of modular space will be added to the terminal by fall. The expansion will raise the number of passengers who can be accommodated from 150 to 400.
