When the PGA Tour heads north of the border, Weir’s name always comes into play as that lefty from Ontario who won the 2003 Masters. But his game is far removed from those days. Weir won the last of his eight PGA Tour titles in 2007. In 14 starts this year, he has missed 11 cuts, has withdrawn from an event and has broken 70 only once. Now 41, Weir has been battling injuries to his right elbow and left wrist. He has dropped to 475th in the world ranking. This season, his best finish is tied for 70th at the AT&T National.
