The man who fell from Lamb’s Slide on Longs Peak spent Friday night with park rangers at a mountain shelter.
The 68-year-old man from Boulder and park rangers, spent the night at the Chasm Shelter, according to a news release from Rocky Mountain National Park.
This morning, park rangers brought the man down the mountain on horseback. They are expected to arrive at the trailhead around 1 p.m.
The man, who has not been identified, called park rangers at Rocky Mountain National Park around noon on Friday, after he slid near the top of Lamb’s Slide on Longs Peak.
The man, whose arm was injured, was able to stop his fall with an ice ax, and climb to Broadway Ledge.
Two park rangers first reached the man at about 4 p.m.
