Gov. John Hickenlooper and Joshua Dubois, executive director of the White House Office of Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, will meet with faith and community leaders from across the Rocky Mountain region 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Wednesday in the Colorado Convention Center for a conversation on how governments can partner with nonprofit organizations to promote healthy communities.
The Denver stop is part of the Obama administration’s conference series Connecting Communities for the Common Good.
U.S. Department of Health and Human Services Acting Director Mara Vanderslice Kelly will also participate. The White House and federal agencies are trying to work and learn from local leaders how to support nonprofits work in communities.
The Convention Center is at 700 14th St. in Denver. Hickenlooper’s keynote address is at 10 a.m.
