On this final “morning after,” the has come to a smashing close. Sunday saw a larger variety of folk, hosting more families and tourist types than it had all weekend. The indie bands that had been waiting in the wings for their turn at the UMS finally had their spotlight in the heat, playing to the diverse, sweaty crowd. For the dozens of venues that the frequent festival flyers had come to know so well, Monday morning must seem like the morning after Christmas — with silent streets and sugarplum memories of the joyous days passed, already longing for summer of the UMS 2012.
